Homeschooling

Homeschooling is intensive at home tuition where the student receives all or a part of their education in a home environment or at our centre, as a replacement for mainstream school. This can be a temporary or long-term solution and it is generally chosen for reasons including flexibility around sports and the arts professions your child may be engaged in as well as issues arising at mainstream school or simply by choice.

The process begins with an in-depth interview with parent and child, and following this, an assessment is done to find out where your child is at. You will then receive a full proposal with a structured programme and schedule for your child that can advance what your child is already doing well in, and also address specific areas that your child may be having difficulty with, whether academic or social.

We have links to external exam centres so we register your child for any relevant GCSEs or A-levels. We also work with families to incorporate social activities and sports outside lessons. Being structured to the individual child and in coordination with the parent and often with their school, we have very good success in homeschooling. Homeschool set-ups can be temporary with the view to return to mainstream school or can be continued on a longer term basis.

With our partnership with Heron Books we have a vast range of materials suitable for effective homeschooling, including developing life skills such as communication and confidence building.

       We recently used Ricardo to support our son with his GCSE Maths preparation and have been extremely pleased with the experience.
